A class set of 32 Argument Cards (enough for 8 groups of 4 students). Each set of cards includes two topics with 1 strong and 1 weak argument for each topic.
Have groups of students sort the cards into strong and weak arguments and then have them explain their reasoning behind categorizing the arguments as strong and weak. This is a great way to help students understand the different components of a strong argument. You will be amazed by how much students' arguments improve after doing this card sort activity.
