In this investigation, students figure out the properties of some labeled powders to identify the two unknown powders.
The Unknown Powder Identification kit includes all the materials that students will need to design and carry out an investigation.
Each kit contains enough materials for six groups of students.
Materials:
- Dropper Bottles for water, vinegar, and iodine
- Vinegar
- Iodine
- Funnels
- Spoons
- Pipettes
- Ramekins
- Hand Lens
- Well Plates
- 4 different substances (i.e. Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Salt, Corn Starch)
- Storage containers & labels for Knowns and Unknowns (one set for each group)
