Eight original Spanish science readers written for the Kindergarten ADI Science Texas units. Each book is built on one investigation and one TEKS content standard, so the read-aloud at the Reflect stage matches the science your students just did, in the language they are learning it in.

Six copies of each of the eight titles, 48 books. Standard guided-reading quantity, so a title can rotate through a six-student group with a copy for the teacher.

What makes these different

• Written in Spanish, not translated. Original Mexican Spanish text at a kindergarten reading level, large type, one idea per page.
• Texas phenomena. A classroom junk drawer, a magnet-powered cart, shadow puppets, weather cards for the Texas weather zones, a beaver dam, a Rose of Jericho that looks dead until it drinks, and a pumpkin plant from root to fruit.
• TEKS aligned. Every title carries its Kindergarten science TEKS on the back cover, in Spanish and English.
• Replaces the English trade books read aloud during the Reflect stage of the Kindergarten investigations, so bilingual and dual-language classrooms have a matching Spanish text for every unit.
