Emergency Solar Water Heater Design Challenge Overview
With this fun-filled box, students design, construct, and test an inexpensive but effective crash cushion that will help keep people safe during a head-on collision regardless of the vehicle they drive. The crash cushion must reduce the force acting on a moving vehicle during a head-on collision with a pillar by at least 80%.
Who It’s For:
Designed for middle school students in 6th - 8th grades. Using the Argument-Driven Inquiry instructional model, students will investigate force, motion, and interactions as well as systems and system models.
